Subsidies

$1,000 per installed kW. And the paperwork? That's us.

Hydro-Québec's LogisVert program reimburses a significant part of your solar installation. Here's exactly how it works — and what we do so you never have to think about it.

Eligibility

Five conditions. We check every one for you.

The program is generous, but rigorous. Every Solairegie installation is designed from day one to tick every box — verified before you sign, not after.

New panels, purchased in Quebec

The program supports the local economy: the purchase must be made in Quebec.

CSA-certified

CSA 22.2 No 61730 and CAN/CSA-IEC 61215 standards — all our equipment complies.

Installed after June 30, 2025

Older installations are not eligible under the current program.

A connection authorized by Hydro-Québec

The application must be completed by a master electrician — our partners take care of it.

An application filed within 9 months

On logisvert.ca, after commissioning. We file it for you, on time.

Our work

You won't fill out a single form.

We validate your eligibility first

Before we even talk installation, we check that your project qualifies. No bad surprises down the road.

We build the complete file

Invoices, certifications, proof of connection: every document is prepared by us, per the LogisVert guide's requirements.

We file and follow up

The application goes to logisvert.ca on time, and we track it until payment. You're kept informed at every milestone.

And your surplus? Net metering.

Electricity you produce but don't use flows to the grid and comes back to you as kWh credits on your bill. Your surplus bank resets every 24 months — which is why a properly sized system matters, neither too small nor too big. That's exactly what we calculate for you.

Also worth knowing

  • The federal loan is closed. The “Canada Greener Homes Loan” no longer accepts applications. If someone is still selling it to you, be wary.
  • No battery subsidy. LogisVert covers panels, not storage. We tell you straight — and we're watching in case that changes.
  • Programs evolve. This page is kept up to date from Hydro-Québec's official documents. Last verified: June 2026.

Subsidy questions

What we get asked the most.

And for everything else, call us — explaining is our job.

How does the $1,000/kW subsidy work?

It's Hydro-Québec's LogisVert program: $1,000 per installed kW, up to 40% of the purchase and installation cost. The panels must be new, purchased in Quebec, CSA-certified, and the grid connection must be approved by Hydro-Québec. We build the file and submit the application for you on logisvert.ca.

What happens to the electricity I don't use?

With Hydro-Québec's net metering, your surplus becomes kWh credits on your bill. You stay connected to the grid: solar lowers your bill, and the grid takes over whenever needed.

Is solar really worth it in Quebec, with our winters?

Yes. Each installed kW produces an average of 1,200 kWh per year in Quebec (Hydro-Québec data) — cold weather actually improves panel efficiency, and snow slides off tilted panels. With the LogisVert subsidy, Hydro-Québec estimates the return on investment at about 10 to 12 years.
